Press Releases
Earlier today, Senators John Boozman (R-AR) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) submitted a question during the Senate’s impeachment trial asking whether the House of Representatives had sought testimony or litigated executive privilege issues during the month it held impeachment articles before sending those articles to the Senate.
Previously, the House of Representatives had claimed that it needed to move impeachment articles forward quickly without calling witnesses for testimony because litigation might not end before the 2020 election. Despite this claim, impeachment articles were delayed delivery to the Senate by 28 days. The House of Representatives now claims that witnesses are vital to its case.
