Dr. Boozman's Check-up

Congratulations to the Class of 2022. As we find ourselves at the end of another school year, I’m proud of the hard work by students across Arkansas as they take the next steps in their lives and find their place in our rapidly changing world.

Throughout this year I enjoyed visiting many schools and colleges, working with high school students on my Congressional Youth Cabinet, meeting with young people eager to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, and celebrating students as they commit to jobs with great local companies. At each occasion I was inspired by the positive spirit and determination of these young Arkansans.

Of course, it is impossible to talk about the students graduating this year, whether high school or college, without acknowledging the tremendous upheaval of the last two years. They have tackled historic challenges demonstrating incredible perseverance while gathering accomplishments and invaluable experience. I am also excited that after two years of altered and delayed celebrations, graduates are once-again enjoying traditions with family and friends to mark this milestone in their lives.

I look forward to seeing what this unique generation adds to the story of our nation. And, in the meantime, they have a lot to celebrate so we join them in reveling in this special moment before they begin their next chapters.
