WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) announced his support for H.J.Res.124, the continuing resolution that funds government services through December 11, 2014.
“Funding our government is a basic responsibility of Congress that preserves services Arkansans and all Americans rely on. Congress needs to get back to regular order and pass appropriations bills so we can eliminate these short-term stop-gap measures and provide long-term certainty.
“This bill is an important step in fighting the increasing threat of Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terrorists. The President has been slow to act on the dangers this extremist group poses to our country, but I support this effort, and larger strategy, to confront their barbaric actions that threaten American citizens at home and abroad.”
