To reaffirm our nation’s commitment to recycling and to underscore the importance of recycling to our economy and the environment, the Senate unanimously approved a resolution introduced by U.S. Senators Tom Carper (D-DE) and John Boozman (R-AR) that recognizes November 15, 2019 as “America Recycles Day.”

Boozman and Carper are co-chairs of the Senate Recycling Caucus. The senators encouraged their colleagues and all Americans to remember the importance of recycling.

During summer, many kids don’t have access to the free or reduced lunches they receive throughout the school year. U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) has introduced Hunger-Free Summer for Kids Act would offer children from low-income families free lunches and snacks over the summer to address this issue. U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), a member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, discussed his support for the America’s Transportation Infrastructure Act (ATIA) of 2019, calling it a vital investment that will improve the safety, efficiency of the nation's surface transportation network.
Senator John Boozman (R-AR) joined his colleagues on the Senate floor to outline the importance of passing the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). The senator highlighted the benefits of the agreement to the nation’s economy and the need to approve the agreement.

Veterans are particularly vulnerable to mental health struggles which, when untreated, can lead to increased risk of suicide. They suffer a disproportionately higher rate of suicide compared to the general population. Congress is actively engaged in fighting this public health crisis.
