COVID-19 has exposed a number of issues that policymakers are recognizing can no longer wait to be addressed—combating hunger is chief among them. We’ve seen how schools had to quickly adapt to continue providing meals while students were learning virtually. U.S. Senator John Boozman, a senior member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee recently spent some time with school administrators and the dedicated individuals who make healthy school lunches across Arkansas to thank them for their efforts in the fight against hunger. We are grateful for their commitment to ensure that no child goes hungry during these challenging times.

U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), a senior member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, is continuing to ensure veterans have access to quality community care programs. During this hearing, committee members focused on the implementation of Title I of the VA MISSION Act, a landmark law that improves the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare delivery system and helps provide veterans with more choices and fewer barriers to care. President Trump signed the VA MISSION Act into law in 2018.

Congress has passed over $8 billion in assistance for our public health agencies and also just approved a package that includes free testing, paid sick and family leave, unemployment insurance enhancements and more, while also working on legislation to provide more direct relief to America's families and businesses.
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is celebrating 100 years of service. U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) recognized the century of service and celebrated the work its members have done to engage veterans, advocate to advance benefits, services and care and make a positive difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
